We
cannot say this enough!
“Did you turn in all of your assignments today?”
As of the fifth grade, some schools believe children are
mature enough to be punished for not turning in work on time. The result from
one missed assignment (which gets a zero grade) could pull a students “A”
average down to a “B” average.
Guess what? My
kid is not mature enough, and most likely yours are not either. This is
something we as parents need to watch closely. The easy way is to get in the
habit of asking the question everyday. “Did you turn in all of your
assignments today?” Usually this is all it takes. If not, don’t let it
slide. They absolutely must learn this lesson. Believe me, this is as important
as potty training.
